I am sorry for your loss.

My mother and step father died together in Switzerland. I also know that death was coming and it was one of the most wrenching pains I have ever felt.

The old saying that time heals all wounds is true. The pain is not as bad, but I will always miss those I have lost. I think that you will have a similar experience.

Often I wish that my mother and step father could be here, to see where I live now. They would love it and would have come to visit if there were still here.

The sad truth is that eventually we cannot keep everyone we love. Mortality is inexorable. Tragically, death is part of life. But that doesn’t mean that it is easy to accept.
