I have found it difficult to predict what people will find useful. In some cases I have found that software that I find useful and would have wanted is ignored, while other software that I didn't feel was as important gets attention.
At this point, I just share software on GitHub that I think might be useful or interesting. If it gets ignored, that's OK. Why not share it?
