In addition to leading edge processors, Apple also has a good operating system, MacOS. This operating system has its origins in Unix. As a software engineer I find MacOS largely indistinguishable from Linux (my favorite OS).
In contrast, Windows sucks. It is bloated and slow. To this day there are more security bugs in Windows than any other operating system.
