In addition to the crimes committed against Ukraine, Putin has screwed Russia for decades. By using energy as a weapon, he has destroyed Russia's energy market in Europe. This will never come back, because no one will trust Russia as an energy supplier.

I have to imagine that eventually the decline in Russia's energy sales will affect the average Russian outside of Moscow and St. Petersburg. Russia is heading toward being a third world country, which western countries are going to hate for the crimes they committed. I have to believe that this will also affect the average Russian.
