I've been thinking about how Americans are now the bad guys, siding with Putin, Kim Jong Un and Belarus against the heros in Ukraine. The fact that I despise the Trump regime would not be apparent. Only that I am an American.

I have some sympathy for the Russians who oppose Putin. Like them, there is not a lot I can do about the Trump regime in the United States.

I am traveling to Norway in the fall and I plan to travel to Italy in 2026. Perhaps I will, as you suggest, say Je suis Canadian.
