The corruption and political polarization of the Supreme Court is widely acknowledge. Clarance Thomas and Alito are corrupt.

After overturning Roe vs. Wade the Supreme Court doesn't even pretend to do anything else but decide cases on the basis of their political preferences. The whole originalist text claim is rarely mentioned now.

The solutions are also clear. Limit the tenure of the justices. Either age out the existing justices or expand the court. Put in place real ethical requirements.

The problem is that what is currently referred to as the Republican Party no longer believes in democracy and the rule of law. Without Republican support none of these reforms are possible. So we are stuck with a horrible, corrupt Supreme Court. Perhaps to be joined by Trump, a horrible and corrupt president.
