What the people who write this seem to willfully ignore is that if Israel is faced with such a threat, Hezbollah and Lebanon will be a smoking ruin. Tehran might cases to exist as well.

In Gaza Israel has shown that they can be ruthless. The threat of Hamas was not an existential one, although the inflicted casualties that shocked Israel. So imagine what would happen if there was a real existential threat to Israel.
