Unfortunately I don't think that this will happen. The only reason that Germany came to terms with the Nazi era and the Holocaust is because they were forced to do so (although they still blamed the "leadership" not themselves).

After the horrible atrocities and war crimes that Russia has committed, there should be no aid to a post-Putin Russia as there was for the post-Soviet Russian. No food aid. Nothing.

Sadly, I think that the Russian response will be to view themselves as victims. The Russian people are superior, they will think. But the whole world is against them. Pass the vodka.
