What is strange in reading about Kadyrov is that not so long ago there were reports that he was suffering from a terminal disease and was not long for this world. His son was, allegedly, being groomed as his successor. Now Kadyrov is swearing blood feuds...

A conflict in Chechnya might bring down Putin's regime. So I have assumed that Putin would do what ever is necessary to buy off Kadyrov (which has worked in the past).
